The Program for Activity Professionals (MEPAP) Training Course
- Arapahoe Community College offers the Activity Professionals Course (MEPAP) in the fall.
- This is the only class offered in Colorado and is the quickest way to be qualified per tag 249 requirements. It is great for anyone even if they are already qualified or are in adult day programming or assisted living for solid activity training.

Primary Instructor
Carmen Bowman
- Carmen S. Bowman MHS, ACC has worked in activities since 1987. She has worked as an activity assistant, activity director, and activity consultant working in nursing home, assisted living and adult day program settings.
- Mrs. Bowman was the first NCCAP certified activity professional to be a state surveyor. She surveyed nursing homes, assisted living residences and adult day programs for nine years in Colorado. She worked for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services central office in Baltimore, MD. as a policy analyst and trained surveyors nationally.
- Carmen co-founded the Colorado Culture Change Coalition (CCC).
Qualified guest speakers assist with pertinent topics in their field of expertise.

The Activity Professionals Training Program
- Classes are at main campus. The Arapahoe Community College, 5900 S. Santa Fe, Littleton, CO, 80120.

- Completion of this course can be used for certification or rectification with the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals (NCCAP). Completion of this course also qualifies an individual according to the OBRA Regulations for those employed or wanting to work in a skilled nursing facility.
